How Does the D7 Visa Application Process Work?

In the first stage of the D7 visa process, applications are submitted via the Portuguese Consulate in Turkey. Applications are processed via Ankara.

Once your D7 visa application has been approved, an entry visa valid for four months will be stamped in your passport. This visa enables you to enter Portugal and complete your residence procedures in the country.

Once you have entered Portugal, you must attend the residence card appointment arranged by AIMA. Once the necessary procedures and assessments have been completed during the appointment, your first residence card will be issued.

The first residence card issued under the D7 visa is valid for two years.
