Terms and conditions: Ten years of uninterrupted legal residence, Portuguese language proficiency at A2 level, a clean criminal record and proof of continuous residence are required.
Benefits of citizenship: an EU passport, the right to move freely and reside in EU member states, and political rights in Portugal (including the right to vote).
Scope: Providing evidence of continuous residence, referring applicants to the language proficiency assessment process, checking criminal records and preparing the necessary documents, and compiling the application file.
