Family Reunification

Description: Persons holding residence permits in Portugal may bring their spouses, dependent children and, under certain conditions, their dependent parents to join them through family reunification. The complete preparation of family relationship documents (with an apostille and translation) is of critical importance for this application.

Who is covered: Spouse/registered partner, dependent children under the age of 18 (and, subject to certain conditions, those aged between 18 and 21), children with disabilities, dependent parents.

Terms and conditions: The main applicant must have a valid residence permit, proof of family ties, sufficient income, accommodation and health insurance.

Required documents: Residence permit, passports, marriage/birth certificates (apostilled and translated), proof of dependency, proof of income/accommodation, health insurance.

Scope: Assistance with the apostille and translation process for family relationship documents, preparation of proof of income and accommodation documents, guidance on health insurance, preparation of the application dossier, and coordination of the appointment process.
